Sara joined Moving Arts in 2009 after moving from New York City to Los Angeles. Her directing credits with Moving Arts include Choke (The Car Plays 2009), New Orleans, and Blood and Thunder (Jason Duplisea/Nominee for Sound Design – LA Stage Alliance Ovation Awards 2009/2010; Candice Afia/Winner of One-Act Performance of 2010 – LA Weekly Theater Awards). Blood and Thunder enjoyed a five month Los Angeles run and the production was featured at the 2010 Last Frontier Theatre Conference in Valdez, Alaska. Also in Los Angeles, Sara has directed staged readings for The Blank’s Living Room Series and EST LA’s Festivity LA. She returns to the Last Frontier Theatre Conference in 2011 to direct a Mainstage Reading of South Bridge by Reginald Edmund. Also an actor, Sara appeared in the Moving Arts productions of PCH (The Car Plays 2009) in and Ligature: an evening of five short plays where she greatly enjoyed her turn as an android housekeeper exploring her humanity in Blank. New York acting credits include new work at HERE Arts Center, Gertrude Stein Repertory Theatre, The American Globe Theatre, the American Theatre of Actors, and the feature film, For Love of Amy, directed by Ted Lange. Sara was a featured performer for several seasons at the Last Frontier Theatre Conference in Valdez, Alaska, and the Great Plains Theatre Conference in Omaha, Nebraska.
